Devlog September 2021

We completed 1 year of MegaBattle development. It has been quite a ride! πŸŽ‰πŸš€

This is our first devlog and we are planning to share a little bit of the game development backstage and share our journey with you.

On August we release a prealpha release at Itch.io, aiming to have players feedback and inputs for our next release. You can check it out here: https://madcatgames.itch.io/megabattle

Since the Alpha Release, we have been working on replacing the Unity Multiplayer service with a proprietary solution. Several adjustments needed to be done since then. This replacement will enable us to not only have a better multiplayer experience, but also to store the player score (and thus enabling Ranked matches) and the unlocking of new items (such as cards, classes, etc).

WeΒ΄re also working on improving the game UI and several user experience feedbacks. We could learn this through players feedback during the alpha release. If I can give any advice to devs that intend to do this, watch players streaming live, so you can not only have their feedback but also observe how the player interact with the game. Shoutout to all streamers that support indie games!! You guys are the best!

We also expand our team with two new devs: Alexandre and Luiza. Welcome to the team!
